Whether you’re replacing an existing roller or developing a custom design, our engineering team provides full assistance from specification to delivery.

We supply GESADUR® rollers for stranding machines used across the wire and cable industry. GESADUR is a highly compressed thermoset composite with a 60% natural fibre content, cured into a three-dimensionally cross-linked structure that is homogeneous throughout and practically incompressible. With a density of approximately 1.37 g/cm³ and a compressive strength of around 300 N/mm², it has become the reference material for support rollers in heavy rotating machinery.

Their job is to carry weight and transmit it into the machine frame while running continuously at production speed, which means the properties that matter are compressive strength, dimensional stability and vibration damping rather than surface hardness alone. The decisive advantage of GESADUR here is its elastic memory: even after a machine has stood under full load through a weekend or a long shutdown, the roller returns to a perfectly round form within a few rotations. It does not develop flat spots — the failure mode that eventually affects almost every conventional roller, and the reason so many lines restart with a hammering vibration that shortens bearing life.

This is also where GESADUR separates itself from traditional rollers, which are turned from resin-impregnated sheets pressed into plates. Loaded across their weakest axis, those layers delaminate and wear quickly, and the exposed layer edges make a fine surface finish impossible. Because GESADUR has no ply structure, it wears evenly and can be diamond-turned to a genuinely smooth running surface, which allows higher machine speeds while reducing running noise at the same time. The material is also electrically insulating with good dielectric properties, resistant to oil and grease, has low water absorption, stays dimensionally stable at elevated temperatures, and is tropic- and termite-resistant without ageing in storage.

We supply replacement rollers compatible with machines from leading manufacturers such as Stolberger, Queins, Setic Pourtier, Flymca, Bartell, Roteq, Lesmo, Ceeco, Mali, Cortinovis, Caballé, MFL and SKET, and others widely used in wire and cable production lines worldwide. Typical applications include tubular, planetary and drum twister stranding machines. Compatibility is a question of geometry rather than brand, so we can also supply parts for older and discontinued machines.

Rollers are available as pre-machined blanks with a universal oversize for final finishing in your own workshop, as finished machined rollers with an oversize left on the outer diameter, or fully finished with a fitted steel bush or sleeve and diamond-turned to a concentricity of up to 0.01 mm. GESADUR turns, drills, mills and saws readily, so in-house finishing to your machine’s actual tolerances is straightforward. We manufacture to your outer diameter, width and bore, matching OEM specifications or working from a sample, a worn part or a set of measurements where drawings are no longer available. All rollers are available with worldwide shipping, with technical support for part identification, dimensional measurement, cleaning and maintenance, and volume orders for planned maintenance or emergency replacements.
